Communications Policy

UCS may communicate with users, members, applicants, partners, contributors, event participants, and the public through email, website notices, account notifications, forms, social media, messaging groups, event platforms, partner channels, and direct messages where appropriate. UCS may send necessary messages about accounts, invites, passwords, security, membership review, program participation, policy changes, legal notices, privacy requests, content moderation, event logistics, and administration even if a user opts out of optional communications where permitted by law. UCS may send newsletters, education updates, event announcements, opportunities, partner notices, surveys, and community updates where subscribed, requested, membership/participation exists, or another lawful basis applies. Users may opt out where required and must keep contact details accurate. Communications must be respectful, lawful, and truthful; abusive or bad-faith messages may be ignored, restricted, preserved, or reported. UCS does not guarantee immediate replies or emergency response.
